Halloween
Décor on a Dime

This year, why
not take a cue from nature and plan your Halloween decorating using “found”
objects from your yard and inexpensive seasonal fruits and vegetables?   Carve winter squash or mini pumpkins and
place votive candles inside for festive lights.  Make a scarecrow using an old broom, a worn out hat and clothes
that might otherwise go in the ragbag.
Stuff with recycled newspaper.
Make spooky ghosts to hang over your entry using old white sheets or
rags cut in a variety of sizes and dipped in liquid starch.  Hang to dry, then use a permanent black
marker to draw eyes and a face.
Happy October!
