Love is in the air

Greetings!

Its February and the month of love is here.
Here are 5 easy ways to spread the red (of love)

  1. Introduce some fun pillows in red or orange to
    heat up the space
  2. Add some sheer curtains in a rich color
  3. Purchase some wonderful red wine or cocktail
glasses, check out the discount stores or your local
    thrift store
  4. Create your own appetizer plate for festive
moments at Create It! Ceramic and Mosaic Studio on
    California Ave.
  5. Buy fabulous lounge wear that compliments your
    room and you.

Just add water

Changing spaces

You can turn a spot in your home into a romantic
haven for an evening, a weekend or for good.
A cozy table pulled up to a fireplace, with some
cushions, a little candlelight, a sumptuous feast on
a fabulous cloth, big napkins, some romantic music
OR what romanticizing the bedroom?
lots of pillows flowing
fabric, a fur rug, and a scent wafting through the air,
finger foods are easy, fireplace is cosy – let
your imagination get to work, and then raid your
cupboards to move things around.

Write and tell me what you did to turn a dull corner
into a spot for romance. Even if there is no significant
other in your life – what about you? You
deserve a luxurious spot to drink a glass of
champagne, or listen to music. How about a velvet
chaise in a
sunny corner, palm trees wafting – a carpet
underfoot ….all doable in a day, and within
budget. Maybe not exactly to fantasy.

Latest trends

The latest trends in the showrooms indicate that the
sixties nostalgia still influences . Soft metals and
shapes of organic proportions are in. Look
for fun wording for the walls, try

for the walls, or fabulous bold wallpaper designs.

Color, and the ethnic looks of our pasts: Russian,
Indian and Moroccan flavors and colors burst forth,
along with the back to classic black and white
trends. Basically its about comfort and memory with
zing. Things that bring us joy.

Warm up to spring by bringing in one or two colors
with flowers,
and repeating in rhythm. White bulbs growing in glass or
ceramic bowls repeated make a wonderful elegant
look.
Costco is selling Cybidium Orchid plants for
around $20.00 Check them out.
