Greetings!

Welcome to Summer. Create a spa like environment in your home & revel in it.
Read on for some easy tips to take you to a comfortably indulgent look.

1. Pathway to Retreat:
Start with journey to door,
Create burst of color and continuity with flowers, planters, pretty pathway -use concrete paint if needed or redo the path with stone.
Add lights, sculptural art, group the plants and have height and creeping types.
Brush a glossy inviting color on the door to beckon you in. Look at your mailbox, doorbell and entry light. Do they match? Do they need a dash of paint?

2.Consider the CLUTTER.
It is time to throw out dead flowers, old magazines, and assorted bits and bobs.
Do gather oddments and store in attractive matching containers. They look wonderful and hide a multitude of sins.
Remove all non essential items and put away or toss.

3.Add luxury and sweet smells:
Change pillow covers to give zest
Fresh flowers , a couple of pots of flowering plants or some large trees give life and energy.
Candles grouped and lit when you get home and smell and light.
Fill the fireplace with fresh herbs, fake fruit or a basket of pearls. Stick to your colors and look for the most effective element.
Sweet smelling soaps in bathroom, plush towels and an indulgent bath curtain feel good.
Place rich fabric shades on the night lights in the bedroom.
Indulge in luxurious cotton sheets and bedcover to make you feel delicious.

4.Control the light.
Too dark?  Remove heavy curtains and replace with gauzy sheers. Buy ready made or create your own – just hem or iron on tape, add hooks and a drape is born.
Change out the rug for summer by going lighter.
Sisal is easy on the feet, eyes and pocket book.
Three light sources make the space work at night. Uplights are a cheap and wonderful object.

Group for DRAMA:
Bring your seats together to create cosy conversational areas.
Arrange a reading area with a lamp and a footstool, with your favorite books.
Place your accessories in groups of three or five. Remember balance, scale, weight and rhythm.
Place small indulgences where you can see them, pretty pieces, happy photos or memory moments.

Make your home a spa to come home to.

Redesign is a fabulous way to go green. Using what you have creates a whole new look to love.
We love to hear from you, send us an email or give us a call.
